Our Senior Inquiry Agent has spent over a decade in the security industry providing security and investigative services for a portfolio of logistics and corporate clients. Feeling the need to bring his experience to a larger segment of the population he decided to branch into the private sector. With this in mind he studied for his Diploma in Private Investigation with the Blackford Centre for Private Investigations. After successfully passing the course with distinction he went on to for Assurance PI.
Assurance Private Investigations is a Telford based company which caters for Telford and the surrounding areas. This means that for our clients there are no expensive travel costs incurred by having to engage the services of an investigator from one of the larger cities.
We are a local firm, for local people.
So what is a Private Investigator?
For most people the term ‘private investigator’ conjurers images of wise-cracking, whisky-soaked tough guys for whom each new day is another death-defying adventure. What many don’t realise is that most private detectives are surprisingly normal people, who live very ordinary lives outside their ‘extraordinary’ jobs.
In fact, many private investigators are ex-police, security or military personnel, putting their years of training and expertise to use in a civilian setting. In some aspects, the work of a private detective isn’t too much different from working in one of these roles – the only difference being that investigators set their own high standards to work by.
It’s this common misconception that often triggers so many questions about the life of a private detective – two of the most common being: “What is a typical day at work?” And: “Who makes up our typical clientele?”
The truth is there’s no answer to adequately satisfy either of these questions. Every day we’re approached by men and women from all walks of life, ranging from the owners of vast business empires who are worried about industrial espionage, to the average mum-of-two concerned over the fidelity of her husband.
As for a typical day at work, again, there’s simply no such thing. The day could be spent behind a desk delving into complicated accounts to unearth hidden assets or trace family members, to following a cheating wife as she meets her lover at an out of town hotel.
No single day ever goes quite as expected. That’s why meticulous planning and the ability to stay flexible and think on one’s feet are key to success.
We specialises in private and commercial investigations as well as offering a full range of support services to the legal sector.
